Don’t give the recipient a knot

The necklace is what draws the person to the gift. What I want to avoid giving the consumer is the knot. Loose chains will tumble over when a gift bag swings back and forth while en route. In addition to helping, you show off your artistry, selecting packaging materials based upon their form will assist you in providing the item as the first thing seen by the customer, not a project they have to complete themselves.

For a craft stand, decide on your package-ability strategy prior to customers’ arrival. Do some experimentation (and testing) with your longest chain and/or largest charm, as these pieces will require more space than the others. A box that is designed to fit a small heart charm might rub up against a large stone. Select several different sized boxes so you can select a size to best fit each piece rather than forcing all of your products into one style.

In many instances, a necklace card will allow the chain to remain stationary by allowing the chain to pass through slots specifically designed for the product. Pass the chain through the slots without tightening it. Place the charm on a padded material. Make sure there aren’t any sharp edges on the cardboard; it could potentially scratch or damage a fine link. If the cardboard bends too far or the chain falls out of the slot, do not use tape on the necklace to keep it in place; simply find another necklace card that holds the chain better.

If you cannot find an appropriate-sized necklace card for your particular product, you can try a jewelry box with an insert designed to hold that type of product. Be sure to test how well the lid closes around the charm, because it should not have to be pressed onto the stone. There should be enough space inside the lid for the chain away from both the hinge and lip of the lid. Test your sample by opening it and then walking it across a room to ensure that the product did not move. While this will provide you with evidence of potential movement issues for local deliveries, it is no guarantee that items will arrive at their destination safely via mail.

Although they are part of a matching set, store rings and earrings separately from necklaces. The Gemological Institute of America recommends storing individual gemstones in separate locations, which helps prevent them from coming into contact and damaging softer stones. Store each ring and earring individually inside a gift box or use a small individual case for each. Delicate pieces such as pearls may need special care; therefore, consult with the manufacturer about what type of liner and storage system are recommended.

While selling gifts at a craft stand, let the consumer view the necklace before you seal it in its container. It allows consumers an opportunity to review the color and inquire as to how they would go about removing it from its holder. Include instructions next to the gift case and consider offering a plain outer bag for any gifts intended to remain unopened.

Store one fully prepared example of each necklace design behind your display area. This way, if you experience a busy period at your craft stand, you can train anyone assisting you how to properly prepare each product for shipping. As you switch products being sold, verify that each still fits its designated holder. Then the consumer can focus on deciding who receives the gift rather than trying to get it untangled.

Eco friendly ink and Dye Alternatives for Packaging

Ink is not eco friendly. With many of them made from petrol, some brands are looking for alternatives that are sustainable for your needs.

With that said, here are some different alternatives to these conventional inks and dyes that are used, in order to reduce the environmental impact of what’s going on.

The Alternatives

There are so many different alternatives to the regular eco friendly inks that are out there.

First, you’ve got plant-based dyes.   These dyes are made from cellulose, and are more sustainable.   With a lot of different plants that can be converted into eco-friendly dyes, it’s a great way for you to really improve your packaging experience.

The other one is water-based inks. Inks that are made from water is a great one, since it can wash off with well, water.    While it might not work if your packaging is going to get wet, it is an eco-friendly alternative for those looking to have more sustainability.

Finally, you’ve got biodegradable printing methods. These methods print on various products that will break down when you toss them.   You can make it with mushrooms, and other sorts of plants.   This is a safer way than the regular petrol, which makes it hard for the box to be recycled.

Who Benefits From This

Pretty much any industry that uses this will benefit from it.   every brand uses inks and dyes for their packaging, so you’ll want to use these different alternative methods.

However, some stand out more than others.   Food and cosmetics are the two that come to mind. this is because direct contact with your products does happen. Now, if you’re just putting up petrol and other sorts of inks for the packaging, it can train the product. With biodegradable inks and dyes, it makes everything all the more sustainable. Virtually anything that a person touches, however, will want to use this.

Why do This

There’s a lot of reasons for this. first, there’s a lowered carbon footprint that comes with this.   you won’t have to worry about being unsustainable compared to others with these inks.

Also, the inks are toxic.   When you use something that’s biodegradable or plant-based, it creates a nontoxic ink.   This is good for packaging as it reduces the overall toxicity of this experience.

Finally, it’s better for consumer health. When you give the packaging something sustainable, and better dyes and whatnot, consumers will feel better as a result. It works wonders for everyone involved, so it’s something to consider when putting forth more eco friendly experiences.

The future

Obviously  this is a new type of technology, in that people are using this to improve their packaging.   There will be more innovations with this, but one way for it to become even more sustainable is 3D printing with sustainable materials. Various items that can be 3D printed can then be tossed, without messing up the ecosystem. Again, this is all down the road, but something to consider.

Another one is eco-friendly inkjet technology. Some inks and printers are now becoming eco friendly. This type of process is beginning to be seen in multiple other areas, so it’s worth checking out.

Overall, with a lot of various packaging options to consider, there’s a lot of eco-friendly options to choose from. As a business, it might be time to focus on not just the products and transit, but also the eco friendliness of the packaging that you put forth as well. by doing this, you’ll be able to craft these alternatives in packaging design, providing you with new means to really enhance the overall experience, in order to make it really shine.
